Anaesthesia And Monitoring

We have four anaesthetic vapourisers, allowing us to safely run multiple procedures at once. One is located in our dental suite, two in our sterile operating theatre, and another is used in either the treatment or radiography room. We use Isoflurane, a trusted anaesthetic agent known for its excellent safety profile and smooth, quick recovery.

Continuous Monitoring by Trained Nurses
Throughout your pet’s procedure, our anaesthetic‑trained nurses provide continuous, hands‑on monitoring using specialised equipment that tracks:

  • Heart rate
  • Breathing rate
  • Blood pressure
  • Temperature
  • Oxygen saturation

We use Dopplers, pulse oximeters, and our Cardell monitoring system to ensure your pet’s vital signs remain stable and safe at every stage.

Recovery and Comfort
After surgery, your pet rests on a warm heating pad in a cosy recovery cage. Our hospital nurse continues to monitor them closely until they are fully awake, comfortable, and ready to go home.
