Microchipping
Microchipping is a quick, painless, and essential procedure performed during a standard consultation. We use a small amount of local anaesthetic so your pet remains completely comfortable, even though the microchip needle is slightly larger than a vaccination needle.
If your pet is already booked in for another procedure such as a spey/neuter or dental – we can also microchip them while they are under anaesthetic, making the process even easier.
All puppies must be microchipped for Council registration. Once the microchip is placed, we also register your pup on the NZCAR (New Zealand Companion Animal Register), ensuring they are permanently identifiable should they ever go missing.
