microchipping mcmaster heapMicrochipping

This is another easy, quick, painless, necessary procedure performed in a consultation. We inject local anaesthetic so your pet feels no pain, as the needle is very large. We also can microchip when your pet is under an anaesthetic for another procedure i.e . spey/neuter.

Microchipping of all puppies is required for registration with the Council.  We also register your pup on the NZCAR (NZ Companion Animal Register) database.

We recommend cats are microchipped after receiving the FIV vaccination (Feline Aids) so there is no confusion between actual viral infected cats and those that have acquired the antibody from being vaccinated for FIV.
